Michalis Kamburelis
Author of Castle Game Engine and view3dscene, CTO at Cat-astrophe Games LLC
Michalis Kamburelis is a developer, working in the field of games and general 3D visualization in various engines. He created open-source Castle Game Engine, cross-platform 2D and 3D game engine using X3D at its core, and remains it's main developer since 15 years. He published 2 papers about X3D, describing shadow maps in X3D (2010) and compositing shaders (2011). In 2019/2020 he contributed to X3Dv4 development, to enable physically-based rendering and other material upgrades in X3D 4.0, as well as greater interoperability between X3D and glTF.
